How did The Hub come into being?
It started like this...
It was almost 40 years ago that The Three Fields was sold to Monmouthshire County Council with the proviso that the land was used for community purposes.
From that time a new community centre was talked about and a number of people and groups tried to get the project off the ground. Some progress was made about 20 years ago when a car park and bridge across the Mill Stream was built but raising more funds proved difficult. In 2017, the Magor and Undy Community Hub (MUCH) volunteer group was formed (later becoming a registered charity), who worked closely with MCC and the local community council. Planning permission was granted in 2018 and so the count-down began to raise enough funds to let a contract for the build. Every step of the way is recorded in 'Blog' on the old website.
